Here we go....Halibut Fishing on Swiftsure Bank!
Jolly Rogers took advantage of the sunny calm weather last week, heading out to Swiftsure Bank chasing halibut. Between JR and one guest, it sure didn't take long to limit out -- non-stop bites, pretty much put the line down and winch it right back up. The only challenge was deciding whether to keep the "chickens" or wait for something bigger. In the end, after a couple of hours fishing, four 50 pound halibut were in the boat and they decided to head for home. A warm and glassy afternoon and some very successful Swiftsure Bank fishing. Good times! Port Renfrew delivers the fish once again!
