July 20th Port Renfrew Fishing Report
It has been a while since our last post, as Vancouver Island fishing has been crazy good over the past few weeks. Too much time on the boat, no time for working the computer....as they say "a good problem to have".
The halibut fishing off Swiftsure Bank is as consistent as ever -- consistently good to the point of outrageous! We've had boatloads (literally) of happy campers, leaving with their fill of halibut.
As well, the salmon fishing has really picked up over the past couple of weeks, with lots of "Swiftsure Specials" caught -- that's "medium" size Spring salmon, in the teens up to the high 20s.
Below, Mike and Cliff Bier show off their catch -- get out those filet knives boys!
